Dr. Adell Patton

Mr Patton was a dear friend to both of my parents. Coach Red Jackson and Rita Jackson. I had the pleasure of talking with him about many historical events and even have a signed copy of his book. May he rest in peace. My parents and him are together again!

Wow. I am just finding out about Dr. Patton's passing. I was in the middle of writing him a holiday email when I had the thought to Google him.. I then realized that he had passed. I would not have graduated from college if it weren't for Dr. Patton. He was the best professor I ever had. I know God graced my life's path with Dr. Patton for a reason and I am forever grateful. May God Bless & Keep him In Heaven Above. :(

I have sat many times engaged into conversations with him in references to our family tree. I had a number of questions. Rest well cousin. You will be missed

Very saddened to hear about the passing of my cousin Adell. Although I only met and spent time with him on a couple occasions, those are memories cherished forever. He was an inspirational person and filled me in on many details about our Wilson family. RIP in big cousin.

I just learned of Dr. Patton's death. I am so thankful for the educational journey I had as his student. My prayers are with his family. Dr. Patton, may God welcome you into His Kingdom.

Farewell to a brother forever. We spent some of our most formative days together, struggling at various levels. We will see you on the other side and worry no more. Ed and Genny
