Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of my brother-in-law Dolph and as I recently lost my husband I am thinking of asking Dolph's wife, one of my 4 sisters, if she would like to spend any of our remaining years with me in Florida, on the delightful little barrier island where our parents also resided. This dream may take time as I am currently in the process of rebuilding what remains from the devastating destruction endured from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Dolph was a personal friend as well as my cardiologist for many years. I really loved his style, spirit, directness with empathy, and his intolerance for phony things. It hurts our world when people like him pass away. He was so good to me, and I´m so appreciative that I got the chance to be his friend. Dolph, I look forward to seeing you again in the next better world my friend.

So very many years ago, I worked at MGH. Dr. Hutter was kind to everyone. An exceptional physician, he was extraordinarily regarded highly by his colleagues, students, and of course patients.

I was a patient of Dr. Hutter's for over 20 years until his retirement and came to look forward to our periodic visits for his direct, but pleasant manner and our non cardiac conversations about the state of the world. I was proud to be under his care because I knew there was nobody better to look after and educate me about my condition. MGH is one of the world's great hospitals because of people like Dr. Hutter.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Sylvia and all our family for the recent loss of Dolph. We have such wonderful memories of family gatherings and events, Christmas Day for years spent at your home in Needham and many more. We thank you all for joining with us and for all for the joys and blessings we shared.

I did not work with Dr. Hutter but would run into him many early mornings as we entered the hospital. He was always so pleasant. A true gentleman. Thank you Dr. Hutter.

Most of my relationship with Dolph was as a medical student and resident. He was a great teacher and always had time to do it. He did not have to, but he did. I remember him fondly.

The cardiology community is saddened by the loss of Dr. Hutter, a physician who left an indelible mark on the profession. He will be forever remembered by generations of cardiologists as an outstanding clinician, teacher, mentor and advocate. His devotion to family, and the love he shared with Sylvia, are the important life lessons he left for all of us. Laurie and I send our most sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to the Hutter family, and in particular to Sylvia who we were delighted to sit with at many an MGH function, and to Matt who I had the pleasure to work with closely over many years. Dr. Hutter was a giant in cardiology locally and internationally; I have fond memories of walking across the hall from my office to his to discuss patients. For many years Dr. Hutter shared this office with Roman DeSanctis and said office was the emotional and intellectual center of MGH...
