Love you Precious David.

David Lopez circa 1963

Rest in peace Uncle David. Steve Lopez

I just saw David's obituary at the Alano club. I had seen David a few weeks before his death. He was a mentor and friend for over fourteen years. He was a calm wise man who understood we need humor in our lives and laughed at himself and the world we live in. I will miss him and he will always be with me.

Papa Lopez was always a mentor and an upstanding individual. We all learned a lot from him and he will be greatly missed.

Dave, you are a blessing that touched many lives. The inspiration provided by him will last for decades to come. His influence on my life is hard to measure. His love of his 3 children and grandchildren was evident in how he spoke of them. The love he had for friends was admirable, his willing to help in time of need for those friends who needed a shoulder to cry on was inspiring. Thank you for being in all of our lives.

Papa Lopez was a great man. He was not my father, but for me and several other lucky kids, we loved him like one. He judged people for who they were and not what they did, and left an indelible mark in all our hearts. We love you, David. You may no longer be with us now, but you will never be forgotten!

David - I miss the fun, joy and laughter you brought into my life... and the lessons. no one will ever fill that void. I love and miss you my dear friend.

David you will be missed. You had a huge part of raising me. When I needed a warm home as a child you never turned me away. I am saddened.

Oh Dad, I love you so much! I miss your very presence in my life, all the times we spent together, your advice, humor, prayers and your warm hands that comforted me and gave me strength when I was sick. You were not only my Dad but also my friend who always believed in my ability to weather whatever life threw at me. Thank you for being my Dad. Love you, Mandy
