He was an inspirational teacher - very intimidating to me because he was so accomplished and so insightful in making and dissecting arguments, but he was warm and encouraging as well. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Just learned of Al's passing in the "In Memoriam" note of the Haverford College Lawyers' Network Newsletter. I attended Haverford from 1981-1985 and to this young kid (only 16) from Puerto Rico who was away from home for the first time in her life and soooo excited with everything that was unfolding before her impressionable eyes.
