Not sure what to say?

Adonis, I am so proud of your accomplishments and commitment to excell at whatever you do. I knew you would do great things and go on to great places. I was so excited for you when you told me about your acceptance to Drexel! I am sure that you had a great time while you were there.

Your cousins Brandon and Forrest miss you so much and Forrest loves your fashion choices. Aunt Peggy also misses you a great deal.

I know that you are in a better place -- and that thought always...

This is a very difficult time for me, I don’t know how I am going to put this in writing but I will try. Adonis…my grandson how I miss you, we had a wonderful relationship and you knew grandma loves you and always wanted the best for you. You and I have talked many times about what a bright future that’s lies before you, but God had planned a brighter future for you. I am still struggling with the thought that you are no longer here with me but I know I will see you again in heaven.

I wish that I hadn't been 2 years older than Adonis because I would have had the chance to get to know him better. I remember when he came into marching band his freshman year, and aaaall of the girls in band cooed, "Awww, Adonis is so cute!" And he was so much more than that. From the little that I knew him, I know that he was a dedicated band member, a hardworking student (my mother was his Spanish teacher one year), a loyal friend, and a remarkable young man. To his family, I am...

You truely touched the lives of many. Job well done! Only God knows why and we look to him for support and understanding. I will continue to pray for your grandma and dad. Sincere, Gina Ogburn-Thompson

I would like too take this moment to say Thank You to everyone that helped my mother and I and the rest of the family through this difficult time in our life. Adonis was more than a son too me he wore many different hats during our short time together. A few stands out in my mind...the hat of the friend, the listener, fashion consultant, running partner and the list goes on and on. I my heart I always knew that Adonis was special from the moment he arrived into my life on May 16, 1988. ...

I barely knew you, but I too was shocked. I know God will take better care of you than any of us could have, you deserve it. Let your light shine down on us and may we live our lives in that light and love. Take care, Adonis. You will be missed.
