Adrian "Donny" Donzell Young, Sr.

Adrian Donzell “Donny” Young, Sr., transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home in Port Arthur, Texas, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, Adrian Donzell "Donny" Young, was born to the union of James Young and Brenda Green Bailey on January 8, 1971, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Adrian graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School where he was a member of the Class of 1990. He accepted Christ at an early age.

On February 14, 2019, he was united in marriage with the love of his life Jesscia Battiste-Young; they were inseparable for five years. Adrian was a hard worker, and always provided for his family; Adrian had many crafts and careers, with his most recent being an entrepreneur.

Anyone who knew Adrian, from his smile to his laugh knew that he was always welcoming to those looking for a good laugh. His ability to feel empathy for everyone--whether friend or foe, family member or stranger--was his greatest gift of all. Adrian had so much love for fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. 

Adrian is preceded in death by his parents, James Young and Brenda Green Bailey; his aunt; Linda Green Tackwood, and Violet Carter, his uncle; James Green; grandfather, Willie Green.

Adrian leaves to treasure his memories: the loved of his life Jessica Young, his  devoted and loving wife of five years; children; Aaron ( Toyre); Derique ( Kiah); Kali, Kordry, Adrianigue, Jousha, Orenthal, Ashton, Kody, Adrian Jr., Auri, and Armani the love his love; brother, Willie Young; and sister; Angela Young ( Darrell); stepfather, Paul Bailey; special brothers, Jereem Augustine, Kevin Brumfield, Micheal Jackson, Steven Angelle, John Perry, Rodney Cleveland, Charles O’ Brien, Therold Palmer, and Clinton Bonton; and a hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
