Several years ago as my son and I were walking out of Mass, Deacon Fred saw my son's Chiefs jersey and we visited. My husband had also gone to Ward High School, as had my dad, when it was Catholic High. His sister Laura went to St. Mary College as I had. And we talked about Povitica. Each Christmas I would give him some. When he moved away I still got some to him until a couple of years ago.
