Not sure what to say?

There are very few people in my life that I can say it was a great honor to call my friend, and Dr. Flatt is one of those people. His gentle nature and intelligence were always a delight. We talked about everything from art, history, and his early life. He shared his experiences as a medical student during WW II and his involvement in emergency situations as a result of bombing catastrophes. To say he had an interesting and rewarding life would be an understatement. He was as fine a man as...

I was truly honored to know Dr Flatt while he was at Baylor Hospital. He was generous enough to be one of my references at one time. It is not an overstatement to say Dr Flatt, like Drs Jim Hunter, James Dobyns, Robert Carroll, Bill Bowers, David Green and many others are all part of a wonderful, and brilliant group we can title, "The Fathers of Hand Surgery."

Mrs Flatt you do not know me but I wanted to express my condolences on the loss of your dear husband. I came across an article I had saved from a Texas Profile magazine. It was from February 2007. I also have the article from People magazine. I googled Dr. Flatt's name and read the obituary.
Dr. Flatt did my hand surgery in about 1985. He implanted three joints in my left hand. I was able to visit Dr. Flatt in his office in about 2010. I was amazed to know that he still maintained his...

Dear Judy,

I agree with all of the above, but would like to add that Adrian was a very kind man to all in the operating room. Operating with him was always a pleasant experience. With all his fame and international reputation he was always a devoted physician and a good colleague.

My sympathy goes out to you Mrs Flatt .He was a fine man.
I was a friend of Adrian's a long time ago.

In my 26 years as a video producer at Baylor, Dr. Adrian Flatt was one of my favorite physicians. He always had time to brighten your day with a smile and a story.

I had the pleasure of producing a series of videos with Dr. Flatt and Stacy Meier titled These Famous Hands. They told the story about why he started casting hands for educational purposes, which later grew into the display and it also showed the process of casting, using Troy Aikman's hands as an example.

But even...

Dr. Adrian Flatt was a brilliant and innovative hand surgeon, he developed the technique of making casts of hand deformities (still on display at Baylor University in Dallas) that taught countless young physicians the complex anatomy of the hand. He was a prolific writer in Baylor Proceedings and a very popular lecturer at Baylor and Southwestern Medical schools.
I had the good fortune to see patients with him over 20 years during his practice at BUMC. Patients adored him.
On many...

Adrian was my teacher, role model. inspiration and friend. I will always value my time with him since my fellowship at Baylor in 1985-86. He was a wonderful person and had a remarkable life. He taught me more than hand surgery and I will miss him. Love and prayers to Judy.
