ADRIENNE-INGRAM-Obituary

ADRIENNE LEIGH INGRAM

Obituary

June 25,1979-December 2,2007 Adrienne Ingram passed away on December 2, 2007. She died from complications of mitochondrial disease, a rare neuromuscular disease. Though very ill the past two years she handled her illness with courage and grace. She never complained about why she had gotten such a terrible illness for which there was no cure. Her concern was for others with serious illnesses. She spent much time on the computer and telephone encouraging others. She was a great inspiration to those who knew her, especially to her dad, mother, and brother. They were blessed to have had her for 28 years and will miss her terribly and love her forever. Adrienne lived in Lake Ridge and attended Lake Ridge Middle and Woodbridge High Schools. She also attended Virginia Commonwealth Uni versity. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Beverly, her brother Todd, and her beloved cat Beau. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Pauline Hughes, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all from South Carolina. It was Adrienne's wish that her body be donated to a medical center for study or research so that others might be helped. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, at Bull Run Unitarian Church, 9350 Main Street, Old Town Manassas, at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, 8085 Saltsburg Road, Suite 201, Pittsburg, PA 15239, or to their website,

I miss you, Adrienne. You were such a sweet and loving daughter.

To this day. I still miss her terribly, but still cherish all the time I got to spend with her. I got to know her unlike anyone else. And she was a truly unique soul. And Im so lucky to have loved her. We are all still none the better without her. We all miss you so much Adrienne.

She was a loving and caring person. I miss her so much. She was very special.

My thoughts are with you during this hard time.

My sympathies to the friends and family of Adrienne. I doubt I will ever know a more brave or unique person as she.

I was so sorry to hear about Adrienne. Bev, I will never forget your kindness to me back in 1980 when I was on bed rest due to my pregnancy. You and Adrienne brought meals and came to spend time with me. Our prayers are with you at this time. May God bless you.

Our thoughts & prayers suround you at this difficult time. Your neighbors. John & Bon Brennan
