Adrienne Range Obituary

Adrienne "Ada" Range
Chatham - Adrienne "Ada" Range, 40, of Chatham, died at 5:17 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at her residence after a valiant battle with cancer.
Ada was born on July 2, 1981, in Carthage, IL, the daughter of Alan and Shirli Wear Dickerson. She married Adam Range on August 9, 2008, at Illinois College in Jacksonville.
Ada was a 1999 graduate of Carthage High School. She was a well-accomplished basketball player and was later inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. She went on to play at Illinois College and was inducted into the I.C. Hall of Fame. She graduated from Illinois College with a degree in biology and later earned her master's degree from the University of St. Joseph's. She previously taught biology and coached basketball at both North Mac and New Berlin schools. Most recently, she was a professor of Anatomy & Human Physiology at Lincoln Land Community College. Her coaching successes translated to the classroom where she not only taught her students but coached them to their full potential. Ada's strength and positivity were an inspiration to many.
Ada loved life and had a passion for fun. She enjoyed taking trips, spending time with friends, coaching her children's basketball teams, and attending concerts. Her greatest passion, however, were her children and her family to whom she was fiercely loyal.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edward and Wanda Wear, and father-in-law, Gary Range.
She is survived by her husband, Adam Range of Chatham; three daughters, Alivia, Autumn, and Aspen Range; her parents, Shirli and Alan Dickerson of Carthage; one sister, Lexanne (husband, Justin) Darwent of Rochester; mother-in-law, Janine Range of Greenfield, IL; sisters-in-law, Kelly (husband, Tony) Kallenbach of Virden and Heather (husband, Kenny) Witt of Greenfield, IL; one niece, Alli Kallenbach; five nephews, Lyle and Larson Darwent, Cole and Jack Kallenbach, and Grant Witt; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Sheedy Shores WineGarden, 10300 Johns Creek Rd., Loami.

One of the best teachers and humans I've ever encountered. The world is surely a darker place without her. So sorry for your loss she will be missed by many.
