EDWARDS-WHEAT, Aeyn, Aeyn's lungs gave out on January 3, 2011 just four days shy of his 31st birthday. His last four and a half years contained more pain that anyone should suffer in a lifetime—the death of his father, William Wheat, the tragic and sudden death of his life partner, Timothy Morris...

Not sure what to say?

IT has been a year now since Jesus called HIS child, Aeyn (Peter) back to heaven...and the loss is still so tremendous on some days. My thoughts, heart and prayers go out to Aeyn's immediate family and to all of his family of friends that he amassed during his walk though this earthly world. He will always be remembered with a smile and wonderful memories!

I had the blessing of knowing him through my son Timothy Morris while they were both students in Austin, Flagstaff & Tucson....

I just heard about Aeyn's death. I worked with him at the University of Arizona on a yearly project called the UA Factbook. He was always so energetic, joyful and eager to learn. He was one of my favorite clients. I will miss him. Thank you for posting this story of his life including his cheerful words even while dealing with cancer. He was and is an inspiration.

I am very sorry to have just heard of Aeyn's death. It must be very tough for you all. I always enjoyed him and think of all the Wheats often. God's Blessings.

Aeyn and Tim were wonderful people and an inspiring couple. I went to school with them in Flagstaff and remember seeing them walking together hand-in-hand on their way to work and class every morning. I also ran into them in Tucson a couple times. It comes as a shock that both of them are gone, but they obviously had a huge impact on many, many lives. Sending my love and condolences to their families.

I'm a distant relative of Aeyn's who never really knew him. I only met him once, as a child of 8 or 9. The notes posted in this Guest Book, and elsewhere, cause me to regret never knowing Aeyn as a young man. He was clearly a wonderful human being filled with compassion, hope, and energy. You who had the pleasure of being his friends are fortunate to have been given that gift. May you find Peace as you carry on in Aeyn's absence, just as you benefit from his legacy throughout your lives.

I am truly sorry to hear of Aeyn's passing. I never met him personally, but I suspect that I would have enjoyed the conversation if I had. - Steve Morris (older surviving brother of Timothy Morris).

my beautiful friend Aeyn

to the memory of such a good friend who taught me a lot about living and to those he left behind.

my poem:
Not Alone-

Why is often the question

Only if I could

I try to understand

something not so understood

I'd like to throw the blame on someone or something

but deep inside I know

you'll carry me through

somehow I've known this all along

you've carried me before

I would like to personally thank the Horgan family of Terry, Diane and Kelly for opening up their home to host the Memorial Service to honor Aeyn Wheat. I want to thank them for the wonderful gift of warmth, hospitality, memorable photos and a safe environment for us all to expose our shared grief & sense of loss of our precious Aeyn Edwards –Formerly Peter Wheat.
