Not sure what to say?

How well I remember Afton Werner. Such a gracious lady and wonderful mother to her children. I taught school at Bonanza Elementary in Las Vegas and had Linda in my third and fourth grades. I was invited into their lovely home for lunches or to swim in their pool. I was so fascinated with her giving a horse a "bath" in preparation for a Heldorado Parade. She was such a gentle soul. My sympathy goes out to Louisa and Linda, and I will always remember the gentleness, grace and sweetness...

Such a beautiful lady! When I was young, I remember her as the beautiful aunt of some of my best friends, Sylvia M., Gloria H., and LaVee T. Afton was gracious, smart, pretty, and was one of the people I had as a role model. Sorry we couldn't be to her services. Our love to her wonderful daughters, and all the family - Alice Waite and Vern Waite

My life has been deeply touched by spending time with Afton as a Hospice Volunteer . Truely an earthly angel . She spoke often of the love she has for her family. May her light fill the void that her family and friends are feeling at this time. Peace and Love to all.

I will forever remember my beautiful and dearest Great Aunt Afton. She was everything a girl could ever look up to. I will never forget her loving cheerful way, her beautiful smile and always a encouraging word. What a good friend and aunt she was. I will always cherish and try to resemble her memory....Kathleen Conger

Sweet Afton! She truely was an amazing women! I loved seeing her at Barton Creek, she always made my day.

My first time I met Afton she walked into my first DUP meeting fresh from the airport returning from a visit to family in Seattle I believe it was. She had on a white fur hat and was the most beautiful, complete woman I'd ever seen and she was our captain. I came to love her as a warm hostess and friend in her home. I treasure the afternoon I spent with her and she showed me the Thornton book she was so proud of and told me stories of her mother as the midwife. (especially the wagon losing...

I have so many fun memories of Jill's grandma! She was always so kind and caring. She always had the sweetest smile. She was an all round beautiful lady. You are so blessed to have had her in your lives for so long.

I often visited with Afton at Barton Creek. My mother, Shirlene Johnson, is still a resident there. I grew to love Afton. What a sweet, wonderful woman. I am delighted that Afton had so many adventures and accomplishments in her life. I will miss seeing her at Barton Creek. Sincerely, Alana Tidwell
