Agnes H. Baxter

The Danhof’s were family friends with the Baxters from my early childhood on. I believe my mother met Agnes through her association with the Phi Mu sorority. I remember Sheryl (my sister) and I spending time hanging out with the Baxter clan, Barb and Gini mostly, at their neighborhood pool and home on Bayita Lane. Our family moved away many years ago but I always made a point to reconnect with Agnes every time I traveled back to Albuquerque. In many ways she became a second mother to me and I...

I remember Aunt Aggie as a smiling, loving and vigorous woman, a gracious hostess and a great cook, too. My husband Bill and I were blessed to visit her and Uncle Hal and Ralph in the late 1970's. What fun and laughter we had together. Because she, too, received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, Bill and I look forward to getting to know her better in heaven. The best is yet to come.
May your hearts be comforted that Aggie is more alive now than she has ever been.

My mom, Betsy Lackmann, and Agnes were Phi Mu fraternity sisters, so I feel like I've known Agnes my whole life. They both lived to be 97, and are probably laughing, joking, and trading uproarious stories up in Heaven, with Hal and my dad watching and rolling their eyes. Agnes Baxter was an angel amongst the living with a love of people and a zest for life and fun that was unmatched! She will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to have met her ! Heaven will never be the same! She will surely "stir" things up once there!

So sorry to hear of Agnes passing; or 'Aggie' as I've called her my whole life. She was a great friend to my parents Chuck and Charlene. I can vividly see her smile and hear her laughter....well, your dad Hal's as well; but she was louder :) You articulated it so well in the obituary - she was always interested in and totally engaged with me; and I was a friend's kid! I hold special memories of her. She was so fun, and made you feel good; one hell of a woman.
