Agnes L. Shepherd

On June 8, 1925 Agnes L. Norman was born to the Late John Wesley and Frances Childs Norman. Agnes was the tenth child. Eight Siblings preceded her in death. Deaconess Agnes accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was an active and faithful member of Zion Grove Baptist Church. She served on the Deaconess Board, Missionary Board and the Pastor's Aide committed. She was also President of the Flower Ministry and loved singing in the choir. She received her education at Michael's School. She worked at Keller's Aluminum Plant until she retired. Agnes married George Shepherd in August 1942. From this union 3 children were born. Her husband George and daughter Franetta Ann preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: George C. of Ladysmith and Phillip S. of Woodford; three sisters: Annie Graves of Severn, MD, Hortense Collins of Woodford and Shirley Dandridge of Woodford. Seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
