I am so sad to hear of Gene's passing. I have a lot of fond memories growing up in Fairdale and being around Gene and his dad Bill. As a child, I would shine shoes in the Barber shop and always looked up to Gene and Bill. My prayers go out for the Younger family.

Barb,
I am so sorry to hear about Gene passing. I pray that God will take you into His loving arms and hold you and your family.
I wish I could have made it to the funeral home to pay my respects.
God has blessed you with a great family, who I am sure will help ease the pain and sorrow.
Take care.

Buddy and Younger family,

What a memorable atmosphere with the sound of electric shears, the sound of vacuum air in your ear, and you couldn’t forget the background sound of a radio on an AM channel, transmitting the daily horse races. With each...

Barbara,
It broke my heart to Mr. Younger go through what he has gone through in the last month or so. He was one of my "favorites". I am so sorry that he had to go through this, but as much pain as he endured, it was short-lived. If this had to be the "end of the story", this is how I would want my story to end. The Bible says as soon as we shut our eyes in death, we open them in the eyes of our Savior and, that is not all; we get a new body at that time too. I am comforted in that...
