Not sure what to say?

I have many fond memories of Rita. Her cooking was fabulous - baklava, spanakopita, and so many more. Her intelligence and sense of humor, her style and class. She was one of a kind. My thoughts are with you all.

When we were little kids, my friends and I must have seemed like pests to the Norlings, as we were always knocking on their door requesting cookies (thus Mr. Norling's nick-name "Cookie."), but Mrs. Norling was always so relaxed and so nice to us. She was so sweet to everyone that she made the neighborhood a much better place than it would have been otherwise. I remember the time we were at the front door (asking for cookies) when Mr. Norling wrapped his arms around Rita, and said "Want to...

Heartfelt wishes for Bob, Maria and Johanna on the loss of dear Rita, your loving wife and mom to the children. She was a gentle, always kind friend and neighbor.Ann & Charles

Rita was internally elegant, and it seeped out in all her roles in life. Our families shared Greek Heritage and the neighborhood, she was always so patient and kind. I remember often playing in the dirt in the yard, making magic potions or creating plays with Maria and my sister under the Weeping Willows. Rita would always let us see the kitties, feed us snacks, she was a kind and generous person who will be sorely missed.

Rita was a wonderful teacher at Eastman Elementary, patient with all of the silly girls from Mountain Road, supportive of all of our endeavors as if she were our own mother. Kind, generous, and thoughtful to all. Rita put up with us riding our horses through the garden, visiting the kitties, and popping in for cookies or regular basis. Rita we be greatly missed. Peace and hugs to all.

I will always have fond memories of Mrs Norling while spending time with Maria as teens. She was sweet, soft spoken and beautiful and made the best Baklava in the world. My prayers are with her family, for she will surely be missed.

Dear Mr. Norling, Maria and Joanna and family members,
I just heard about the passing of Mrs. Norling in Concord. I want to send you my deepest sympathy to you all. Mrs. Norling was many things to me. She was a friend's Mom, an incredibly kind neighbor, and a teacher to me and my sister Dina during our time at Broken Ground school. Quiet, creative and forceful, you could not get away with anything in the library. She also constituted the other half of the greek population in East Concord...

Maria, I am very sorry to hear of your mother's passing; nothing can ease your pain right now, but time will help, and your memories of her will as well.

I am very sorry for your loss. I know what a difficult year this has been for Maria and family.
