Gus and Anna have been a genuine blessing to my family. Their constant love for each other, for their family, and for others is in everything they do. Those who crossed paths with Gus, whether for minutes or for years, immediately knew his character. Quick to laugh, ready to help, a person of integrity and perseverance, and always with a great story. Just as Gus has been a blessing to all of us, may he receive every blessing in return.

My heart is broken. He was a great man and at dinner table always had jokes to tell! Him and Anna always had me over even for holidays. My heart and prayers to Anna, Maryjo, Tommy, Patrina,Nick, and 2 grand children. I know this is hard for all of you but may he rest in peace and yall keep your mom strong. I love u Anna all the way from Carolina. I will never forget u Gus. Never.

Anna my friend, Ever since i heard the news this morning, I have relived the years starting with the call from you telling me about the handsome man working next door that asked you out to dinner. Your engagement, your beautiful wedding I had the honor of standing next to you. The births of your children. Gus was a wonderful man, now he is your wonderful angel. I cry for you. I am so sorry!
