He was particular who acquired his combat instruction materials, taking notes on those who appeared at all unbalanced. I know because I checked him on that early on and was embarrassed and not proud. One of the very few Men I would have liked to have known better.

I met Augie in high school at Benson Tech and I remember him as a vibrant, funny, witty and marvelous human being. He always had a smile and a joke. I never saw him again after high school, but the world is a less sunny place without the warmth and happiness that Augie created. Be well my friend, you gave everyone you encountered a better day.
