Not sure what to say?

God Bless Nancy, she was a remarkable woman. She lived her life to the fullest and loved her family and friends deeply. She will be missed terribly and remembered by all those she touched.

Nancy and I met at a the funeral of a mutual friend. We had not even been acquainted three minutes when she said, "Will you come to my condo in Myrtle Beach?" She could spend only a minute or two and know whether or not the person she was talking with was someone with whom she would like to have a relationship. We spent many hours talking, laughing, and eating. She was a true friend who was proud of her family and loved them very much. I will always treasure her friendship.

It was our pleasure to care for Ms. Sanchez when she was here at Eisenhower. What a great example for women everywhere.

LTC Sanchez was a wonderful whom I had the opportunity to know at the Charlie Norwood VAMC. She shared many stories of her career with staff and loved her country! God Bless her and the family.

Laughter, it is the laughter we shared on our talks that stays with me. How openly she expressed her love. You are always in my heart, Aida Nancy.

The Department of Georgia Disabled American Veterans thanks LTC (Ret) Aida Nancy Sanchez for her honorable service to our nation. May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing to his family and all who knew him. CW4 (Ret) Albert Boudy, DAV Department Chaplain

I lost contact with Nancy a few years ago. This past week she’s come into my mind every day. I didn’t know she’d moved to Florida and I kept thinking that I should call her. I have a 2005 calendar that she gave me. ‘In Their Own Words: Profiles from the Women’s Memorial Oral History Collection. I would like to give it to a member of Nancy’s dearly loved family. She was very proud of all of them. I’m saddened at her passing.
