Brett Funeral Home - Milwaukee Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aileen Louise Carroll, 34, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, formerly of Fish Creek, WI, on November 11, 2024.

Aileen was born on January 2, 1990, to John and Mary (Schaefer) Carroll in Milwaukee, WI. Aileen was a vibrant and fun-loving person, always ready for an adventure and dedicated to bringing joy to her family and friends.

Aileen’s zest for life was infectious; she approached each day with enthusiasm, humor, and a fearless spirit until the very end. Lovingly known as “Weezy”, she was known for her creativity in the kitchen, free spirit, and love of music, and she celebrated life with those she loved most. She was an amazing daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend whose presence and laugh lit up every gathering.

She is survived by her father, John Carroll of Wauwatosa, WI, formerly of New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland; her siblings, Michelle (Jake) of Wauwatosa, WI, Dianne (Mike) of Birnamwood, WI, Joseph (Heather) of New Berlin, WI, Sean of New Orleans, LA, and Timothy of Milwaukee, WI, in addition to nieces and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Carroll, grandparents Joseph & Josephine Carroll and Marcus & Jane Schaefer, uncles Desmond Carroll, Joe Carroll & Thomas Schaefer, and Aunt Susan Schaefer.

Aileen’s family and friends will remember her warmth and generosity which brightened the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family near and far, as well as her countless friends who were fortunate to know her. She cherished her trips to Ireland to visit family. Her adventurous spirit, love for family & friends, and boundless joy leaves an irreplaceable gap in the world.

A memorial to honor Aileen’s life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Brett Funeral Home in Milwaukee, WI. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering the beautiful memories she gifted to us all. We will have a moment of prayer and sharing of memories beginning at 5:15 pm.Aileen’s legacy of love, laughter, good food, and adventure will forever be cherished in our hearts.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal…..”

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave when my life is done
