Aimee Morrow Obituary

"But God will redeem my life from the grave; He will surely take me to Himself."

-Psalm 49:15

As we mourn the passing of our mother, daughter, sister and friend, Aimee G. Morrow, 49, we honor the sparkle she left on the lives of her family and loved ones and the faith she instilled in her community.

Upon Aimee's birth on June 6, 1975, in Greenville, OH, it was hard to dim her shimmer and shine. Not a stranger to anything glittery, fabulous and bold, Aimee was born to take center stage and command a presence in any room. Her love for, and desire to protect her children lead her to homeschool them throughout their educations. Her love of her faith, and the community led to her giving spirit as an STNA at the Brethren Retirement Community. She was passionate about showing love and care to all of her patients. Her membership at the World Harvest Church in Columbus fed her faith, and her founding of the Medical Freedom Fighters of Darke County proved that she was a force to bring together philanthropy and passion. As a candidate for Ohio State Representative in 2022, Aimee ran on the basis of belief, unity, family and fostering meaningful change. And with that joyful sparkle, she left glitter; that was always her strategy. In her wake of generosity, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or the Pregnancy Help Center of Darke County.

Between the hot pink flair and infectious laughter, she always stood out from the crowd. In her personal life, Aimee was a sassy shopaholic; if you didn't know where she was, she was probably at the mall; no one ever got between her and a sale.

However, all of these tangible transactions could never quell the urge for her to make memories with her family, and especially her children. From trips to Disneyworld, beachside sunsets, the twinkle of the Vegas skyline, watching the Bengals rival the Steelers, or frequenting the Great Darke County Fair for pineapple dole whip, Aimee simply wanted to share moments with those she loved. In her honor, Aimee would want everyone to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and have a hot dog at the next Cincinnati Reds face off.

Aimee, age 49, went to be with her Lord who she so passionately served on the afternoon of Sunday, July 7, 2024. She is survived by her Mother, Sandy (Prager) Silknitter of Greenville and her Father, Dennis Silknitter of Greenville, her daughter, Hannah Bocanegra of Greenville and her son, Noah Morrow of Greenville; and brothers & sister-in-law, Dennis Silknitter Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada and Nathan & Rachel Silknitter of Greenville as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mary Ann Prager and Mary Hoskins.

To commemorate a colorful life lived, the family will receive friends & family on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

A celebration of Aimee's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Both services will be held at Trinity Wesleyan Church at 1400 East Main St., Greenville, with Pastor Neil

Peterson officiating. Private burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar-Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.

Since the memories made were Aimee's statement of life, please share your fondest with us at www.zecharbailey.com for her family.
