Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel Obituary

Aimee Lorose Jacobs Seaton, 50, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, teacher, coach, and so much more, passed away on July 25, 2025. She was a light in every room, a guiding hand for countless young lives, and a source of strength and warmth for all who knew her.

Born on June 28, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Aimee attended Morris Public Schools from kindergarten through high school graduation in May 1993. Throughout her time as a Morris Eagle, Aimee participated in many school activities, including cheerleading, basketball, band and choir, 4H, and Future Farmers of America (FFA). While in high school, she continued in many of these activities providing leadership, including serving as an officer in the student council, a participant on the Brain Bowl Team, and she received several recognitions for academic excellence and even perfect attendance for entire school years.

After high school graduation, Aimee proceeded to St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and after a year, transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond, Oklahoma, where she studied Elementary Education and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education in December 1996. She moved to Dallas, Texas, in the summer of 1997 where she pursued her dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. While teaching full-time, she earned a Master of Instruction and Curriculum from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Throughout her adult life, Aimee wore many hats, each with grace, dedication, and heart. As an educator, she touched lives across multiple districts including Dallas ISD, Carrollton/Farmers Branch, Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD, and Castleberry ISD. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she also gave her time generously to the children at her church through Sunday School.

Aimee was a coach and mentor, both on and off the field. She volunteered with the Lake Worth Youth Association, inspiring young athletes with encouragement, fairness, and enthusiasm. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.

Aimee had a passion for being outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, running marathons with her children and friends, and riding her bike on the trail at Marine Creek Lake. Aimee and Joe decided to build their home and raise their family close to the Marine Creek Lake so they could easily access the trail for bike rides and long walks as they continued their journey together. Aimee and Joe shared a passion for exposing their children to the broader world and made it a point to provide the experience of international travel for their children. The family has wonderful memories of enjoying cruises and trips to a variety of destinations and other countries together.

Above all, Aimee cherished her family and the adventures they shared. The entire Seaton family has a great passion for the beach and have been vacationing in Destin, FL for more than 20 years as a routine and established family destination. Destin was the family's “happy place,” and they have decided that Aimee’s cremains will be laid to rest where so many of their wonderful memories originated at a place the family loved and cherished. The family plans to visit her often, and they want her to be included in future adventures and wonderful memories.

As a devoted wife and mother, her love was unwavering. As a daughter and sister, she offered constant support and joy. As a friend, she was loyal, kind, and always ready to listen or lend a hand. Her home was a place where her children’s friends always felt at home. She never questioned the visits, just welcomed everyone with open arms.

Aimee's legacy is one of service, compassion, and faith. She believed in the potential of every child, the power of family and community, and the strength of love.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Joe Seaton; children, Riley, Emari, and Kinley, all of Fort Worth, TX; parents, Rosie and Dale Jacobs of Okmulgee, OK; her siblings Dalena (Sam) Malone of Morris, Oklahoma, Dru (Tammy) Jacobs of Yukon, OK, and Tom Jacobs of Colorado Springs, CO; her nieces and nephews Travis (Ashley) Malone, Avery & Holdyn; Jaimee (Eric) Andresen, Nora & Eliza; Matthew (Kristen) Malone; Mackenzie Jacobs, and Carson Jacobs; her mother-in-law, Vay Householter and brother-in-law John Householter, both of Lewisville, TX, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aimee is remembered with deep affection by friends, students, and colleagues whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held on August 9, 2025, 2:00pm at Saginaw United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/remembering-aimee-support-her-husband-and-kids

This GoFundMe aims to provide immediate stability for her husband and children in the wake of their loss. In honor of Aimee’s lifelong love for children and her empathy for those affected by the recent Texas floods, any funds raised beyond the family’s immediate needs will be donated to support families affected by the floods to continue the spirit of care and giving that Aimee lived by every day.

Not sure what to say?

Aimee was a thing of beauty and a joy forever: Her loveliness and personality outshined the world; she will never pass into nothingness.❣

Aimee was the sweetest person you’d ever meet, she always was giving and helpful to others and made sure nobody ever felt left out. I’ll always remember and cherish the little and big moments we had together. I saw her as an aunt and a safe place to go to, I always felt comfortable and happy around her, she gave me the best advice and best hugs. I’ll always miss you and love you, I know you’re watching over all of us.

She was a sweetheart of a person and will be sorely missed. She took the time to make sure everyone was included and lived each day to the fullest!!

Aimee's obituary perfectly captures the kind, friendly person I'll always remember—someone who was always smiling. Sending you all prayers for healing and peace.

Aimee was such a delight to have in our UTA Cohort! We all bonded as we clung together to get through the masters program. Her kindness, laughter and smile filled every room she entered. I’m lucky to have had her for a friend. My heart aches and my prayers and thoughts are with all her loved ones as they navigate life without her.

I was extremely shocked to receive the news of Aimee's untimely passing. Aimee was a very good friend to me and one of the first people to offer me a friendly welcome when I first started attending Morris High School during my junior year. I remember that my friend David Nelson and I pretended that I was a foreign exchange student from France named Giovanni. Whether she truly believed our ruse or not is debatable. But if she didnt she at least went along with it and it was fun keeping her...

Our deepest condolences to the loving family of this beautiful woman. Prayers for God’s comfort.
