Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of Alan's passing. While I hadn't seen him in many years, his memory is important to me; I really wish we had been much closer. I offer his family my sincerest regrets, particularly to Linda and Christy who probably don't remember me. Jerilyn, I'm sorry that I didn't know earlier - I offer peace and my love. May God bless Alan and watch over his soul. Safe journey Alan, may you be forever enveloped in God's Light.

The career paths of AJ and myself converged and divirged several times throughout our B&V careers. Our work together started during his early days as a drafter/technician and our paths would cross several times in the years to follow with the last being his tenure as the Project Procurement Manager on the successful Populus Terminal project. As others note, AJ was noted for his engaging personality and absolute professionalism. We miss him.

I had come to know AJ in late seveties and become friends in 1982 when he was in Saudi Arabia on an assignment. He was open and honest, and he often used have interesting life stories to share - He had a good sense of humor. He was always proud of his family. AJ will be missed as a friend and as a colleague. My prayers for eternal peace to his soul.

AJ and I go way back. He and I attended the same high school and we would have been in the same graduating class if I been born just a few days later. Instead, we didn't officialy meet until we each accepted jobs in the Electrical Department at Black & Veatch. Needless to say, AJ was a "character" and I think that the thing I will cherish the most about having had the pleasure of knowing AJ Worsfold will be that he always managed to keep life interesting.

AJ has been a good friend through the years and so many happy memories that we share. He was the one who always brought us to laughs. One memory that I always remember is when we all (B&V) friends were on one our many float trips and AJ wore an "umbrella hat" to protect his head from the very hot sun! Of course, he took all the kidding in stride. He was so kind to come to Jim's memorial service in 2004 and presented me with a very lovely peace plant, which I still have all these many years...

AJ you will be missed here at B&V. Mizzou has lost one of their diehards. Hope your kids know how proud you were of them. Blessings to the family.
