Al DePhllips and his wife, Arlene, were the first family I met in 1974 when I came to Tampa, Florida, from my country, Iran. The DePhillips family was more like my family in America, and they were always with me anytime I needed them. I have so many cherished memories of them that I can write a book about it, which I will probably do, sooner or later.

Rest In Peace Al, your memories are alive and well and you will always be missed.

Louis & Jeanne, my deepest condolences for your great loss. I am sure he is in heaven with mom and Donna.
He will be greatly missed.

When I arrived in Tampa,Florida from my native country, Iran, in June 1974, I was fortunate to meet Al DePhilips, his lovely wife Arlene and his son Louis,who was just a little boy at that time and his two teenage daughters Donna and Jeanie. From day one I was accepted into the family and they were my American family away from home. Although Al was young enough to be my older brother, he was only forty four at the time, but he was more like a father figure for me because he always gave me...
