Definition of Legend "Big" Al Unser.

This was my mother with Al. Probably 1977. Tragically she passed away at age 48.

So sorry for the families loss. I met him several times, always the night before Indy. My Uncle worked in the auto parts industry and thats where the connection to him was. He was always very kind to us. May his memory be a blessing.

I met Al Unser Sr. at his race car museum in Albuquerque. My son in law and I are frequent visitors to this Facility and were so excited that he was there and gave us a tour of this great place. I have always been a fan of racing and Al was one of my favorites. I have followed racing since 1954 and attended many races watching the Unsers. For such an Elite Status he held as a driver he was friendly and outgoing to me that day. I am proud to say that I met Al Unser Sr. and he was all I...

Al and I were school mates in Albuquerque at Lavaland Elementary school thru High School at Albuquerque High he was a true loyal friend we would run into each other from time to time he never changed always the same Al used to tease me about my height he would say "When you gonna grow up"
