Alaina Reed Hall, the 1964 South High grad who went on to star as Olivia on “Sesame Street” for more than a decade, died on Dec. 17 in Los Angeles after a lengthy fight with breast cancer. She was 63.

As a little girl I remember watching her on Sesame Street. I loved her singing style. I also enjoyed watching her play the nonsense Rose Halloway on 227. I did hear about her passing some years ago. I was shocked and saddened. I'm glad that she got to do what she loved in life. You are very much missed Ms. Alaina Reed.
