Not sure what to say?

My great condolences to you and all your family, in love of our Lord, Jesus the Christ who came to offer us hope. There are no words to express everything I can't say. Hearing of the news of your loss....
Although I was divorced from Alan, I never stopped loving him as a person, and the Bliss family are just wonderful people. I am so sorry. Alan was a gentle, compassionate man.
I ran into him one day when I was pregnant, before we moved to New York, and he was so excited to...

I knew Al in high school and he was a wonderful person and friend. My heart and prayers go out to family and friends. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I knew Al to be a very kind and compassionate individual. He was a respected colleague at LaCrosse County Health Department. He was always looking for ways to help others in the community he served, and served well. May God's peace and love surround his family.

My sincerest sympathies for you loss!

I am saddened by the news of Al's passing. My prayers go out to Al's family and friends. He has been a friend and colleague of mine since I joined the health department in 2016. I was blessed to have known and work with him. His passion was for the community and helping people and that showed in his work. He will be deeply missed.

I am heartbroken at the news of Al’s passing. I worked with him since 2015 and found him to be a kind gentle man. We had many conversations about helping those in the community and he had a passion for doing so unlike no other. I know he helped to save many lives doing the work that he did. He also talked often of his daughter and his love of biking. I hope you have found comfort in the skies. ❤

There is so much to say about Al - he was vested in his work as a health educator, providing a great path to discussion when differences arose. Al made sure to say goodbye to me when I retired. We had always thought one day I would get a ride on his Harley. He was proud of that Harley from what he shared. As is said in the testimony to his life captured in a nutshell - I will have to ride with him when I hear thunder and realize he is pulling up to let me know he hadn't forgotten.

Al, oh how we are going to miss you. I was beyond shocked and devastated to learn of Al no longer being here with us.
I was was so fortunate to have been under Al for to tobacco preventative projects, at the
La Crosse County Health Department (seems like yesterday)we enjoyed talking about the wave of Motivational Interviewing!
This turned into an over -decade of friendship.
Al was tremendously kind and compassionate.
His generosity in helping me move a few years...

I still am not sure what to say. Losing Al as a mentor, peer, and friend is something that will impact me forever. I interned under Al in the summer of 2018; he introduced me to the world of behavioral health work and the importance of substance use prevention. During that short four month time, Al taught me so much and prepared me for my first job working in youth substance use prevention. When the opportunity presented itself to come back to La Crosse County in early 2021, a huge factor in...
