Not sure what to say?

Now in my mid 70's I recall many memories of those whom I've known in years gone by. Al and Bill Boope were a large influence to me per to my musical career. I bought my first electric guitar from them. This started me on a musical path that I'm still traveling today. I lived on Claremont St just across the street from AL.
I saw Al and Bill rehearse in Al's basement and on occasion I'd hand out near a club they played, as a trio. I recall they sounded great! Bill was always available to...

Al and Vera were amazing neighbors of ours for many years in Marengo. Dinners with them were outstanding and the laughter was abundant, Al and Vera were hilarious. My kids loved Al and when we would walk by or drive by we always waved even if Al wasn't outside, though he usually was!!.. We were blessed to know Al and will carry fond memories of him always. Gone too soon!

Al and I had been friends for 65 years. We met when we were 8 years old. We got kicked out of 6th grade and sent to a reform school. We worked together as truck drivers. We fished two weeks before his passing and caught a lot of fish. I lost a best friend but it's like losing a brother. I'll miss him.

Lisa, Yvonne and Renee...our hearts go out to you at this time. Your dad was amazing and we are so lucky to have known him. "Uncle Al" was not our real uncle but he was the best!!! Donna and I would like to get together with you when our dad comes to celebrate a great man! Love you!
