Bruce and I were members of the Waynesville NC High School band and went on to the Navy School of Music becoming musicians in the Navy. Bruce and Betsy became great friends for many years. I got to know Bruce when he worked for the Air Force, was surprised when he came to N.A.S.A. worked very close with him while there. He is without a doubt one of the nice's persons I have ever been around. Talking with him ,found out that our roots go back to the same area of N.C.
