Alan Conner

Knoxville, TN

Alan F. Conner, age 77, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on November 13. He was a very compassionate loving man, who personified what it meant to be a true southern gentleman. He was such a kind and generous soul which leaves a large void in the hearts of those he touched and there were so many.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Conner; brother, Roger Conner; and children, Sally Conner and Laura Solis, Robin Conner, Karen and Carsten Sommer, Tony Conner, Teresa and Tony Walden, Angela and Marlin Sparks and Vincent Hill; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, November 18, 2016, at 1:15 p.m., at South Florida National Veterans Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.Funeral arrangements made through Kraeer Funeral Home, 1199 N.E. 36th, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.

Dad I will miss you very very much, you always had a joke for me, it didn't matter what I was going through you always made me laugh with a joke even if most of them were corny. You accepted me just as I am from day one calling me Son, I once thought I could never call anyone Dad again then you entered our lives and changed my mind, and you made my mom a very happy woman and filled a hole she had in her heart and life with joy, love, compassion and most of all companionship.
