Not sure what to say?

We are sorry for your loss. Alan grew up around the corner from Alison's family and went to the same school, Hamden Hall. He was clearly held in high regard, and will be missed. Best Regards,Allison and Homer Johnson

Dear Deidre:

I heard about Alan's passing from Kent and Patty Webster and am very sorry at this news. As neighbors and friends I wish we could have gotten together more frequently, for I will always remember Alan's faith, cheerful attitude and humor. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. David

I will miss our bi-annual discussions at the barn and his beaming smile.

Dear Deidre
First Ted, now Alan. He was an icon for Ted around Progressive stuff, a delight for him to see and talk to about issues. I also remember him in all kinds of different ways, -like always giving his best to my sister Liela after her husband Lorrie died - his kindness and joy for life. It's very very hard to think he will not be outside Town Hall on voting day, or singing Christmas carols. (Maybe he will).
All my thoughts with you, Edie

Alan was such an inspiration as he played on Sunday at the WD Congregational Church. He was an irreplaceable presence.
