Al (Dr. Davis) was my Organic Chemistry professor at Plymouth State, and Susan (Dr. Swope) was my Analytical and Biochemistry professor. They each were were wonderful teachers, both in and and outside the classroom. Al's sense of humor made Chemistry , as well as our Science Club events, more fun.

I want to celebrate the wonderful memories I have of Al and the joy he brought to our shared adventures through the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. There's no way I would have hiked for days in the Grand Canyon carrying a heavy pack on my back, if not for Al's assurances that of course I'd be fine.
