Not sure what to say?

Often think about Alan. He always brought a smile to my face. Will see you again my friend.

Durham was both book smart and street smart. I was a nerdy kid when he took under his wing. He was an natural at working to solve problems and put his ideas into practice. Most of us eventually find our niche in life, the sweet spot where our natural interests lead to ability. He was blessed with range—fantastic at some things and capable at many others. He was a skilled teacher and could find common ground with anyone.
In the 80’s there were few ways to learn outside of a school or...

In the early 80's Durham owned a classic black Volvo that he had shipped over to Panama, while stationed there. He spent hours every other weekend detailing the golden leather interior, cleaning the chrome rims, and buffing the gloss of the outside until it glistened. Difficult to say a word about Durham without talking about myself. There is no other man outside of Jesus who is more responsible for making me the quality of man that I have become. With me that says a lot because I had a father that cared about us kids and I worked in the medical field all my life. Alan, its hard to believe that you are gone. I will always treasure the good times, kind words of wisdom and knowledge you imparted years ago . You had a way of speaking hope & faith prophetically. You saw greatness & success for my life some 12 years ago that has come to fruition. My memories of you are nothing but fond. You were always a kind and loving gentleman. Thanks for your friendship!! May you R..I.P for now. I will see you in Heaven some day.

For you Alan and for all the friends and family you leave in their earthly bodies. You touched many lives in a very positive way. If anyone deserves a burning candle it is you. God's Peace to all those grieving for you.
