Dear Mrs Englander and family, I worked at the Severance store for 9 years. I was an assistant manager the 9th year. Went to the Richmond store the 10th year as manager. Mr. Englander was such a special boss. I had great respect for him. He encouraged me and built up my confidence and made me feel I could do the jobs he gave me to do. I'll never forget his kindness. My 17 yr. old son Chris died in 1978. It was about 3 yrs. before I could work again. Mr.Englander welcomed me back to help out...

My condolences to the family. If this is the same person I am remembering, he owned/ managed the Kelly/Kitt stores? And I can still remember him in the store, and that dear saleslady, Mrs Singer I think it was...the days when people genuinely cared about a satisfied and happy customer and we cared as well for those who helped us.
