Not sure what to say?

For me and countless other musicians, the passing of Alan is a very sad time. As the creator of the Dodworth Saxhorn Band, I had the privilage of enjoying many happy times with Alan over the years at Cooperstown, Gettysburg, Bob-Lo Boat, The Grand Hotel, the Lansdowne Railroad Ferry Restaurant, and of course the White House to mention a few.

Alan, you will be sorely missed.

My condolenses to Martha and family members during this difficult time.

Alan, how many years did we play together? Nearly twenty, with the Ann Arbor Civic Band, Dexter Community Band, Ann Arbor Concert Band & lastly with the Dexter Community Orchestra.

I know you loved that gig, and your playing continued to improve all the time, as the rest of ours did.

I will miss your enormous sound and your wry, dry sense of humor taken away far too soon.

Never met in person, but knowing of him through others,he was a good man.
