Alan was a dear friend of mine for over 25 years. His caring ways are unlike any other person I have ever known. He had faith in me when I doubted in myself. I think of him often....

Susan and Sarah,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was looking forward to seeing Alan when I visited Buffalo again. He mentored me when we played together on the Queen City Chess Team. I will miss him.

Alan was a gift to the world. He gave so much of himself to his family, his friends and his community. We will be forever grateful for having counted Alan among our closest friends and for the wonderful husband and father he was to our dear Susan and Sarah who have our sympathy, comfort and love.
