Alan Michael Fleming, 80, died Wednesday March 12th at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Clearfield, PA, son of the late James and Anna Fleming. He graduated from South Hadley High School where he was active in Football, Basketball and Track. He owned and operated Fleming Industry Inc. Mike was a member of the Granby School Board, the Masons and Motorcycle clubs. He was an avid traveler who shared many interests with many friends. 


      He leaves his wife Marcia (Hughes) Fleming, three sons Michael James Fleming and his wife Lori of South Hadley, Jonathan D. Fleming and his wife Lisa of Belchertown and Miles D. Fleming and his wife Rachelle of Frederick, MD, two daughters Jessica A. Fleming-Gale and her husband Derrick of Bellevue, WA and Rebecca E. Borella and her husband Jay of Bellevue, WA, his step-children Ron Saltarelli and his wife Karen and Natalie LaCoste and her husband Eric, his sisters Pat Blood and Sheila Fleming and her husband Walter. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Richard Blood and his brothers James B. Fleming III and Paul D. Fleming. 


    The funeral will be Friday, March 28th at 11:00 am at Red Oak Church, 337 Piper Road, West Springfield. Calling hours at the O’Brien Family Funeral Home will be Thursday March 27th from 4:00 to 7:00pm. For more information or to make online condolences please go to obrienfamilyfh.com.

Jess, Becky, and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I have such fond memories of him from when I was younger, from spending time at your family home, to taking us skiing at Mt. Tom to a double family trip to sunny Hampton Beach. He and my dad got along fabulously, too. Cherish the memories you've made, share them with your children and he will always be with you. Sending many hugs to you all during this difficult time.
