Alan was my friend. He was the kind of friend we all want to have. He was never self-absorbed. I am very thankful for all the time we shared. He was genuinely interested in what was happening in my life as well as many others. I can honestly say Alan never boasted about his achievements. He was a very humble man. I enjoyed his view of just about everything. I read of a Hebrew Proverb: "Say not in grief, `He is no more´ but in thankfulness that he was". Your forever...

I loved my dad and I'm happy we made so many good memories together. But beyond being my dad, there are a handful of ways I will remember him that I hope others will appreciate: 1) He loved to practice law. It was so much more than his profession. It was a huge part of his identity. 2) He loved the Cleveland Indians. Alan and I were classmates all through 1st to 12th grade. We were also East side Lorain friends. I am shocked to hear of his passing I was hoping to see him again this summer. I spend my winters in Carolina Shores N C and summer's in Lorain. Rest in Pease My Friend
