            Alan Ramon Hack, age 61, resident of Sturgeon Lake, MN died peacefully on Thursday, February 14th, 2019 at Essentia – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born on July 31st, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to Ramon Hack and Patricia Lyons.


            Alan moved with his family to Willow River, MN during his 9th grade year of high school. He graduated from Willow River High School, Class of 1975. Upon graduation, Alan attended Pine Technical and Community College in Pine City where he obtained a welding degree. He was a hard worker. Alan traveled for his career, spending most of his lifetime working as a pipefitter with the Minneapolis Local Pipefitters Union 539 and Virginia Local Pipefitters Union 589. He had a passion for snowmobiles and spent many hours of his free time racing his open modified 800. Alan loved visiting with people and will be missed by his friends and family at Ray and Marge’s in Sturgeon Lake, MN.


            He is preceded in death by his mother, Patti Kaffer and brother, Danny Hack.


            Alan will be remembered by his children, Tanya Hack, Cassie Petersen, David (Rachel) Hack, and Dustin (Hannah) Hack; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Christopher, Braxton, Grant, Gracee, Easton, and Breckon; father, Ray (Judy) Hack; step-father, Jim Kaffer; sister, Caralyn Hack; previous wife and forever friend, Tammy; nieces, Jaimee (Austin) Gordon, Kevynn (Neal) Schumacher, and Malynda (Kelly) Houle; nephew, Brackon Kennedy; his great-nieces, great-nephew, and many other relatives and dear friends.


            A celebration of Alan’s life will be held from 2:00pm – 5:00pm on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019 at Ray and Marge’s Resort in Sturgeon Lake, MN.

Ramons family and my family were together a lot when the kids were young Wayne and Alan would canoe and fish together on weekends and Ray and I (Earl) would drink beer and feast on Pattys good food I am at AZ. So cant make it to the memorial but will be thinking of your family xxx

spent a lot of time with the hacks many good times whether winning (MOST OF THE TIME) OR LOSING OCCASSIONLY miss you all
