Not sure what to say?

I fondly remember Al's smiles and hugs! A true gentle man and colleague who made each of my days at DMS brighter. My Sincere condolences to his family.

Alan was a classmate of mine and our class president. We had chatted on the phone a few day before his operation. WE had just discussed the prospect of tracking down class mates that were still around. A wonderful person that will be greatly missed.

When Mr. Kilburn was my Social Studies teacher at Dover Middle School I was tasked with writing a report on Yugoslavia. This was right after the Soviet Union was transitioning to The Federated States. The region was in turmoil and the soon to be fractured Yugoslavia was spiraling into what would become the war in the Balkans and with it, all the terrible events that define the region today. In the midst of all this historical and social upheaval, what did I choose as the topic for my report?...

On behalf of a grateful nation, and the VFW Auxiliary/Post #4485 in Somersworth, we wish to acknowledge your loved one's service to our country, and send our deepest condolences on your loss.

VFW Auxiliary President,
Cathy Burns,

Alan went to school with me at York High.
He was always a gentleman and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He will surely be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Kilburn was a wonderful man and teacher. He will be missed. My sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I have not seen him since the passing of his Dad, Farnham. Farnham's second wife was my Aunt Barbara McIntire who was his neighbor on Beech Ridge. Alan and Phil came to Cape Cod for Barbara's funeral in 1994. It was a long time ago and I lost track of where Alan was living. Might fond memories of him sustain and comfort all of you in your loss.
