Not sure what to say?

Alan and I were dear friends who enjoyed horse racing and who always tried "to pick a winner." Rocky and I loved the years we spent with Alan and Deb. Alan had some of the best empathy skills of anyone I have ever met in my life. One of the last conversations I had with Alan was when he told me that life had given him everything and not to feel bad when he was gone. Rocky and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of Alan and Deb's life. John (Doc) and Rocky Toothman

Alan and I have remained close friends since we were schoolmates, classmates and sports mates since we met at Battle Ground Academy. We graduated in 1953 and continued playing basketball at the Jewish Community Center after that. Alan was truly one of a kind, a great leader in all he did. I , as President of the BGA Alumni Association , had the pleasure of introducing him at his induction as Distinguished Alumni Honoree in 1999. Always a straight shooter and true FRIEND !

My husband and I raced our Arabians along side Alan and Deb for over 20yrs. As President of the Arabian Jockey Club for 10+ years, he was always there for me with his wisdom and business acumen helping to guide myself and racing to reach its fullest potential. Personally he was a dear close friend who has left us with some of our very best memories and who will be profoundly missed. Paul and Kathy Smoke
