Alan and I met 38 years ago at Friends Hospital where we worked as nurses aides and were extremely close for many years. Everything I immeidately liked about Alan then I still liked about him 38 years later: his honesty and ethics and his intelligence and compassion and his loyalty to his friends. He was a great craftsman with a wonderful sense of design and we own several of his pieces. He was a dear friend and my wife and I will miss him tremendously
