Mary Ann and family, I was so shocked to learn of Alan,s death. (I had been out of town and just learned yesterday, 11/7/11.) He was my support for all the years I spent at St. Anthony's and I and my fanily looked forward every year for his funny, informative, and insightful Xmas cards. A truely fine man , I hope your memories will sustain you in this sad time. I would like very much to attend the memorial service later this year. My E-mail address is [email protected]. Please...

To Mary Ann and family,
I just learned today of Alan's death and so sorry to hear of it. I worked with Alan at St. Anthony's on 4EB for many years. He was a great and kind man and too young. I was called by a former coworker from there and we are all saddened. He gave of himself for so many unfortunate people with Psychiatric problems and taught us all alot.
Love and prayers to all of you.

Dear Mary Ann and family,

We have never met. Alan was a high school friend in band, choir, scholastic and social events. I can't think of high school without thinking of Alan. He was such a great guy and friend to all. Knowing he is gone leaves a hole in my life. My sincere sympathy to you. I can only imagine your feelings of loss. He will live in my memories as I am sure he will in yours.

Alan and I go back a ways as young psychiatrists at the Fort, sharing an analyst together, and having a reciprocal feeling of respect and admiration for each other. His easy smile and warmth always left me feeling better in having had a contact with him. Anita and I send our...
