Not sure what to say?

I remember hearing about Alan being the founder of the Bay City Rollers. He was talented on the bass guitar, the acoustic guitar, and the key boards. After he left the band, he was replaced by Ian Mitchell, and Pat McGlynn. I actually the group in my hometown several years ago, and Les McKeown was the only original member in the band. Now, he's at a home where he can play Heavenly music for all eternity.

I'm saddened to know Alan passed away. I was a big fan of the Bay City Rollers as a teenager...fell in love with the band after hearing "Saturday Night ". My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

Five years since you left us to live and love anew, Alan. You were taken too soon. Five years seems like an eternity and also like a blink. Still love you, still keeping an eye on Eileen, Derek, Jordan and all your family, friends and our Facebook pals. I'll never let the music die while there's still a breath in me. Hugs and kisses always, Alan. From your Aussie Sweet Girl/fan Tracey xxxxxxxx

Alan was a great team leader for the Bay City Rollers. They played inspiring music for friends , family, and all the people they knew. Their music touched the hearts of everyone around them. I used to go wild over their tunes in the 70s. I got word about Alan's passing from a co-worker a few years ago. Now, he'll be able pas on his songs and hymns for all the people in Heaven forevermore.
