Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory - Valdese Obituary

Mr. Alan David Lowman, 74, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his residence, following a brief illness. Alan was born on July 10, 1945 in Burke County to the late Loy Edward Lowman and Pearl Stilwell Lowman. He was a member of Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church and was previously employed in the construction business. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kansas Jeanette Lowman, and his siblings, Teddy Lowman, Dewitt Lowman, Susan Munday, Lorna Davis, Corrine St. Fleur, Brenda Edney and Stanley Lowman. Survivors include two sons, John McDonald and fiancé Donna Laws of Lenoir, Tim McDonald and wife Elechia of Lenoir, and two grandchildren, Dylan Pruitt and Rylee McDonald. Also surviving are two brothers, Howard and Benjamin Lowman and one sister, Rebecca MacNeilage, and 23 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. David Crisp officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Memorials may be sent to Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1890 Connelly Springs, Rd., Lenoir, NC 28645.
