I'm so very sorry to hear of this! I only had Mr. Lysinger for metal shop in 8th grade, but he left a lasting impression on me. He was a big, strong man, with big bear paw hands, which was a little intimidating unless you got to see how gentle he really was; those of us that tried to succeed in his class saw the gentle man, but the slackers got the intimidating one. I remember learning to weld, crafting a tiny hammer and measuring it with a micrometer, and fabricating and soldering a tin pan....
