Not sure what to say?

I enjoyed working with Alan on committees and totally respected him professionally and personally.

My heartfelt sympathy to your family. Alan was my first cousin on the Macnab side. I have been planning on making a trip to the east coast to reconnect with my Macnab cousins in the next year or two. I now will be unable to meet Alan - he sounded like an amazing person. Maybe I will meet the rest of your family some time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am saddened by the loss of your father, grandfather and husband. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.

My sympathy and prayers are with you all today.
