Our (Campbell Tiu Campbell, Inc.)heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Alan was a great colleague and friend. I personally worked with Alan on the AIA-Chicago Board of Directors and on the NOMA board. Alan could always be counted on and he will be greatly missed.

Alan and I started and served together on the AIA Illinois Board. He was a great colleague and a wonderful, inspiring man who will be missed by us all.

Words can not truly express the sorrow I feel on hearing of Alan's passing. What a fine person he was, devoted to living a life of quiet enjoyment in his practice, his golf and most importantly, with his family.
It was a pleasure to know him and to consider him a friend.

Alan contributed a great deal to his profession. The number of architectural activities that he participated in was quite impressive. He was always enthusiastic about the practice of architecture. The Chicago architectural community will miss him.

Alan befrended us when we opened our practice. HIs advice and encouragement was always a shinning light when things looked dark. His determination to become an architect and the repect he showed for his profession should be an inspiration to all.
