So sorry to hear about the passing of Alan. I knew Alan in the 4th grade ,we both had home made box lunches at school. I remember trading sandwiches with him too. Alan was also in Scouting with me in later years. His warmth of a great smile and positive attitude was always there. Our hearts are with Julie and children and family. We know God will comfort you though the this time. Leo and Ineke Volkert

Alan was a joy to work with. We worked together as counselors at Deuel Vocational Institution. He brightened every day with a joyful smile and positive personality. He was always kind and gentle. He made the best homemade blue berry scones. I still have his gold coins he gave to me as a gift when I promoted and left Deuel. Much prayers and blessings to your family. He has left wonderful memories in his wake.

I was surprised to learn of Alan's passing. My years of work association with him were always brief but I always found him happy and pleasant. I wish I had gotten to know him better. May his family find comfort with the friends and family that surround you at this time and may Alan rest in peace.
