Not sure what to say?

In loving memory of a wonderful person. So very sad to see this news. He will be forever remembered.

I was surprised and saddened to see Alan’s obituary. Alan and I were members of the Oakland High School swim team and Latin Club together. I remember him as being kind, smart and a great swimmer with an amazing work ethic. We lost touch during high school when I left the swim team and joined the tennis team. Over the years I often wondered what life path Alan had chosen. His obituary and guest book entries confirmed what I had assumed. Alan did not change, he continued to be a...

I was shocked to learn of Alan’s passing. I can still remember meeting Alan at Lockheed Martin as a co-op student back in 1984. We had remain friends over these many years and saw each other from time to time over the years. I was miss you dearly my friend, may you Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to all of Alan’s family.

Alan was a co-worker, a business partner, a friend and an inspiration. I shared decades of my life with Alan starting with the TADS/PNVS project, accumulating stacks of modems, cleaning up hurricane debris, sorting thousands of SMT parts, soldering antennas and talking to crows. It helped that Alan had a great memory for details and seemed to be fueled by compressed energy. Alan helped me to learn to ask questions and to work towards reasonable solutions. I will really miss him !

Al and Greg were roommates and best friends by the time Greg and I were dating. He was there for every special occasion including one of our first visitors to the hospital when our daughter Madeline was born (he couldn't wait to meet her). He was incredibly talented and bright, he knew something about everything. Our last conversations were about politics, life, family and technologies. I will truly miss Al, he was so easy to talk to and be with. My heartfelt prayers are with the family today...
